HiPhax has started operations

The future screening beamline HiPhax (P09) started operation. The developement of the highly automated beamline will enable in near future X-ray crystallography-based drug screening at room temperature and under cryogenic conditions. Initial experiments with Suna Precision's new humidity chamber were performed and the first diffraction was recorded with the new Eiger detector. The Roadrunner 3 setup and a new sample robot with a newly developed gripper are complemented by a cryotank for over 800 samples. This is suitable for large X-ray screens and is complemented by AI algorithms for full automation.
